Thumbnails to Show You the Way
- You will see the gated trail entrance marked by the small brown sign on a big tree that says “Ferncliff.”
- Go straight down the wide trail. You will see a stream on your right and cross a bridge over the stream, so the waterway is now on your left.
- Continue down the trail to a second smaller footbridge and then the stream is on your right again. This trail is a bit rocky, winds around gradually, and is nestled between steep hills on either side.
- Continue walking somewhat downhill until you see the post attached to a tree, smaller than most others in this area, on your right.
- If you have come to a waterway crossing where there once was a bridge to cross, go back and look for the post
- that will now be on your left.
- You may want to walk up to the edge of the stream and look for wildlife in the water.
- To return to your vehicle, turn around and retrace your steps back on the trail, now going gradually uphill, taking in the beautiful untouched woods, to the parking area.
